Check Server Ping, Latency, and Uptime for Any Website

When a website feels slow or stops loading entirely, the first thing you need to know is whether the server is responding and how long it takes. This ping checker sends four simultaneous HEAD requests to any URL you specify and measures the round-trip time for each one. You get an instant snapshot of server health: whether it is up or down, the average latency, the fastest and slowest response times, and the success rate across all four checks. It works from your browser with no software to install and no account to create.
Enter the website URL or hostname
Type the domain name (like google.com) or the full URL (like https://google.com) into the input field. The tool automatically adds https:// if you omit the protocol, so either format works.
Click Ping and wait for results
The checker sends four HEAD requests to the server, one after another, each with a 10-second timeout. Each request measures the time between sending the request and receiving the first byte of the response. Results appear as each ping completes.
Read the summary and individual results
The summary shows the overall status (UP or DOWN), average ping, minimum and maximum response times, and how many of the four pings succeeded. Individual results show each ping's exact time and a quality label (Excellent, Good, Fair, or Slow).
Troubleshooting a slow website
If your own site or a service you depend on is loading slowly, a ping check tells you instantly whether the server is the bottleneck. If the ping is under 100ms, the server is responding quickly and the slowness is likely in the frontend code or CDN configuration.
Checking if a website is down for everyone or just you
Sometimes a site will not load for you but works fine for others. A ping check from an independent server confirms whether the site is actually down or if the issue is local — your internet connection, DNS, or browser cache.
Comparing hosting providers before signing up
Before committing to a hosting plan, check the ping of websites already hosted on that provider. A provider whose sites consistently respond in under 50ms from your region will give your visitors a faster experience than one averaging 300ms.
